Any abnormality in the structure or functioning of the lungs will lead to the presentation of a variety of difficulties or abnormalities in the body. One such abnormality that adversely affects the lungs is eosinophilic lung disease or pulmonary eosinophilia. The eosinophils play a very vital role in the mechanism of the immune system. In cases of infection, we observe a raised number of the eosinophil count. When there are too many eosinophils in the lung, it causes inflammation and can disrupt the normal functioning of the lungs.
