What is Fungal diseases

- Shortness of breath
- Wheezing
3. Cryptococcus neoformans –
Causative agent – It is caused due to fungus named Cryptococcus neoformans.
Site of infection – Lungs and Central Nervous System (brain) are the most common sites.

Causes of Fungal diseases according to Ayurveda
According to Ayurveda, the are three energies that forms our body – Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, when the imbalance occurs between any of them, the disease occurs. Fungal diseases occur due to vitiation of kapha and Vata doshas. Vata represents wind or air and kapha is cold, heavy, dense and sticky in nature. Fungal infections are mainly seen due to an accumulation of toxins in the deeper tissues of the skin, mamsa (muscles), lasika (lymph), rakta(blood) and rasa ( plasma).
