Abstract
Ureaplasma is a type of bacteria commonly found in the genital or urinary tract. It usually doesn’t cause problems, but it can contribute to certain infections and other conditions that can lead to pain, discharge, or difficulty getting pregnant. It is unique among bacteria because it has no cell wall. Inflammation of the vagina is called vaginitis. In adults, inflammation often affects the vulva and peri vulvar structures and spreads through the vagina to the cervix without the intrinsic involvement of the vagina. In this article, we are going to discuss the cause, symptoms and treatment of Ureaplasma Vaginitis.
Introduction of Ureaplasma Vaginitis
The inflammation of the vagina resulting from ureaplasma bacteria is known as ureaplasma vaginitis. This infection occurs because the vaginal defence is lost due to a lack of oestrogen. Ureaplasma bacteria belong to the mycoplasma class of bacteria. Ureaplasma vaginitis is higher in women who had multiple sexual partners.
Causes of Ureaplasma Vaginitis
Ureaplasma vaginitis is mainly caused by bacteria called ureaplasma. If the mother has a ureaplasma infection, these bacteria may also be passed to a newborn or foetus. It is spread by sexual intercourse.

1. Pradrantak Churna
Pradrantak churna is a polyherbal churna which is formulated by Planet Ayurveda by using Ashoka (Saraca asoca), Lodhra (Symplocos racemosa), Udumber (Ficus glomerata) and Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna). It is helpful in infertility, uterine fibroid and vaginal or uterine infections. It acts as an antibacterial. It is also helpful in hormonal imbalance. Ashoka is highly valued for its usefulness in gynaecological problems. It is bitter and astringent in taste and light and dry. It gives stimulating effects on the ovarian tissues and endometrium.
Dosage – With lukewarm water, 1 tablespoon twice daily.
2. Kaishore Guggul
Kaishore guggul is a polyherbal tablet which is formulated by Planet Ayurveda by using Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), Bibhitaki (Terminalia billerica), Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Shunthi (Zingiber officinale), Shuddha guggulu (Commiphora mukul), Black pepper (Piper nigrum), Vidanga (Embelia ribes), Long pepper (Piper longum), Red physic nut (Baliospermum montanum) and Indian jalap (Ipomoea turpethum).
