Introduction

This illness can affect various organs in the body, including the respiratory, gastrointestinal (GI), and nervous systems. Puppies and dogs that are either unvaccinated or have not been completely vaccinated are at the greatest risk of being affected by the disease.

Causes

Three ways to get your dog Distemper

  1. Through airborne exposure – When droplets from an infected animal’s nose contaminates the healthy surroundings.
  2. Direct exposure to infected animals – Dogs are not the only animal that can get distemper, local wildlife can also put your dog at risk for this disease.

Symptoms
